Meet Wayne

Wayne’s journey has been one of service, resilience, and compassion. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 2003 until 2011, when an accident led to his honorable discharge. Determined to continue serving his community, Wayne went on to join the Chicago Police Department, where he dedicated years of his life to protecting others before retiring.

It was after his retirement that Wayne discovered an unexpected source of healing and joy—pigs. Inspired by another veteran who had also found comfort in the gentle nature of pigs, Wayne realized the incredible potential these animals hold as emotional support companions. What began as a newfound interest quickly grew into a calling.

Today, Wayne pours his heart and soul into Peaceful Piggy, working tirelessly to give pigs the love, care, and safe homes they deserve. His mission is not only to provide sanctuary but also to share the message that pigs, often misunderstood, can be profound sources of comfort, connection, and healing. For Wayne, this is more than a rescue—it’s a life’s purpose.
